The Ariel PVC Cladding range includes versatile solid and foam PVC sheets with a high strength-to-weight ratio. Sheets can be worked using standard tools for plastics, wood and metal.
They may be thermoformed around corners, although matching internal and external corner accessories are also available. Clean the smooth, hardwearing surface using non-abrasive cleaning agents.
Adhesives
Polyurethane (PU) adhesive is recommended because it can set in high-moisture conditions and provides approximately 45 minutes of working time, depending on temperature. Modified silicone (MS) adhesive may also be used. If in doubt, test a small area before installation.
Accessories
A full range of cladding profiles is available to achieve the required finish. See the Accessories section for details.
Installation
Ariel PVC Cladding sheets are lightweight and easy to install over a variety of substrates. For a consistent appearance:
- Use sheets from the same production batch wherever possible.
- Never mix sheets from different batches on the same wall.
- Install every sheet in the same orientation.
- Keep printed protective film text the same way up; for unprinted film, fit the same end of every sheet at floor level.
Before installing
- Condition panels for at least 24 hours at a temperature similar to the destination room.
- Store panels flat and off the ground to avoid condensation.
- Ensure walls are smooth, level, dry, clean and free from dust or residue.
- Fit windows, door frames, power points, switches and plumbing before cladding.
- Do not install panels close to hot areas where the sheet could distort.
Contact our Technical Department for installation advice.
Cleaning
Remove the protective film after installation. Clean with an anti-static cleaner or warm soapy water and a soft cloth or anti-static wipe. Do not use glass cleaner, abrasives or squeegees.
