Key Properties

The Corodrain range of valley troughs are manufacured in GRP as an economic and durable alternative to using lead. They can be used on both slate and tiled roofs and also provide a weatherproof seal between roofs of terraced houses, or where a new roof needs to join an existing roof. The Corodrain abutment soaker produces a weatherproof seal where the verge of a sloping roof meets a vertical abutment..

  • Lasting as long as lead, Corodrain is tougher and cheaper.
  • More resistant to accidental damage and theft from site.
  • Maintenance free.
  • UV light and acid rain resistant.
  • Smooth finish inhibits growth of moss or build up of debris.
  • Significant reduction in installation time.
  • Excellent weathering performance.
  • Manufactured in the UK to quality assurance BS EN ISO 9001:2000 standard.

Types
Features

D-Valleys

Standard Corodrain valley troughs for use with single lap tiles. Both standard(type;HD) and heavy duty (type:DX). They incoperate sanded strips (min. width 35mm) for the mortar to bond to.

D-Valleys
A-Valleys

Narrow Corodrain valley troughs for use with single lap tiles in limited applications. Both standard (type:HA) and heavy duty (type:AX). They incorporate sanded strips (min. width 35mm)for the mortar to bond to.

A-Valleys
B-Valleys

Standard Corodrain valley troughs for use with double lap slates and tiles, which are dry bedded. Both stardard (type:HB) and heavy duty (type:BX).

B-Valley
Diamond 60

Heavy weight type B or D valleys with the addition of floride based patented surface protection. Provides complete protection against UV light, resistant to virtually all chemicals, solvents and pollutants, temperature range -40º to +100º. The durability of Diamond 60 has been recognised as matching code 7 lead by Housing Association Property Mutual (HAPM). Designed for very harsh environments or prestige building.

Diamond 60
Abutment Soaker

Provides a weatherproof protection between a sloping roof and a vertical abutment. The bonded sanded strip gives maximum mortar adhesion, and the two bars along the horizontal section prevent moisture entering the roofspace.

Joining Gutter

Lasting as long as lead, Corodrain is tougher and cheaper.Gives a weatherproof seal between adjacent roofs. Joins any combination of double lap or interlocking slates, clayor concrete tiles, with minimum disturbance to the adjacent roof. The design ensures that the slates don’t ‘kick up’.

Joining Gutter
Unequal Pitches

B&D- Valleys are designed for use where the differential between two rafter pitches is 15º or less. Industry standards recommend A- valleys should only be used for pitch differences of 10º or less.

Dry Fix Valley Trough

The system simply fixes over the batten for fast, efficient installation, completely eliminating the risk of water coming into contact with the batten and requires less maintenance than an ordinary valley.

Two types are available:

  • Plain Interlocking Tile Dry Fix Valley - Designed for use with interlocking plain tiles
  • Profiled Tile Dry Fix Valley
Dry Fix Valley Trough

LEAD REPLACEMENT
GRP lasts as long as lead, is tougher, cheaper, more resistant to accidental damage, and is less prone to theft or vandalism. Using preformed GRP valley troughs saves significant installation time over traditional methods. Roofers report elimination of many problems with valley troughs when changing from lead to CORODRAIN GRP. Coloured lead grey as standard (other colours available on request).

DURABILITY
Made with high quality un-filled polyester resin with glass fibre reinforcement for maximum strength. A tough bonded melinex film gives excellent weathering performance. Minimum life of 30 years.

MANUFACTURED IN UK
Manufactured to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 quality standard, our automated continuous pultrusion plant in Coventry. All available from stock for rapid delivery to site.

NO MAINTENANCE
The inherent qualities of the materials make the valleys UV light and acid rain resistant, and the smooth surface finish inhibits the growth of moss, lichen and the build up of debris.
